Questions Most Frequently Asked
Q: What exactly is Lectroject?
A: Lectroject is a drug delivery system that takes existing medication into the cell where it does its work by interfering with the DNA of the virus to prevent it from replicating and spreading.
Q: How is Lectroject Better than pills or injections?
A: There are a number of ways of taking the medication.
- Apply Acyclovir cream to the sore. This is the least effective method; trials have shown that cream works only on the surface of the skin, viruses deeper in the tissue are not affected. In fact a simple solution of Savlon and salt is better.
- Take Acyclovir tablets. The tablet is swallowed, a large percentage of the active ingredient is destroyed by gastric acids, what’s left enters the blood stream and circulates through the liver which metabolizes (Destroys) the acyclovir while damaging the liver to some extent.
- Hypodermic or intravenous injection. More effective than tablets, with this method, medication doesn’t go through the stomach and intestines so the digestive juices are not a problem. Injected medication goes directly into the bloodstream. The problem with injected drugs is that they still circulate through the liver and are destroyed there.
- 4. Lectroject. Lectroject picks up the acyclovir and carries it in a stream of ions directly through the body so that, instead of circulating through the bloodstream, it goes directly into the cells where it interferes with the virus.
Q: Does the LECTROJECT Machine require service or maintenance from time to time?
A: The electrode-pads, of the LECTROJECT machine will need to be replaced after 2 or 3 treatments of 30 minutes each. The applicator pads can be used over and over again until the gel has worn off. Sticking them down with tape or elastoplast will prolong their use. If however you intend to treat over a long period of time as a prophylactic measure then you'll need to get additional supplies. The pads are relatively inexpensive and can be obtained online without a script.
Q: : Can you send me a brochure and more details?
A: This website is our brochure. It contains all the information we have to offer. However, if anything more you want to know, that we have not already covered, please feel free to ask us about it.
Q: Doctor, Clinicians: What can LECTROJECT do for you?
A: Put money in your pocket! How? Patients with Coxsackie B Virus (Chronic Fatigue System, Yuppie Flu), Herpes 1 & 2, Cytomegalovirus are seeing the doctor once or twice, getting a prescription costing up to R1500.00 ($231.00 or £125.00) for a course of tablets with a success rate of ±47%. When they find no improvement, they join the shoal of people visiting one waiting room after another at a rapidly mounting cost to themselves, they become desperate and disillusioned, YOU LOSE THEM! With LECTROJECT, 10 or more visits to you will give them ±85% success rate in Herpes and 95%+ success rate in Coxsackie and CMV, at a cost in medication of ±R30.00 ($5.00 or £2.50). This means a massive saving to the patient and much increased earnings to the doctor.
Q: Are there any side effects?
A: The Lectroject Machine is a vehicle which induces atoms of medication into the body - The machine itself has NO side effects. Any medication used by you, probably Acyclovir or Famcyclovir may have side effects - ask your doctor. The Lectroject machine cuts the dosage to +- 1/1000 of oral dose. Speak to your Doctor.
Q: What does P.C.R. stand for?
A: P.C.R. Stands for Polymerase Cell Response/Reaction - This tracks viral DNA in the body - If P.C.R. is negative it means that the virus could not be detected. To learn more see Diagnostic testing below.
Q: Will a blood-test show positive because of antibodies?
A: Yes a blood-test will show positive because of the antibodies. a P.C.R. test will confirm if the virus is gone because after 10 treatments or more there should be NO viral DNA left.
Some Comments and Replies
C: “Thank you Lectroject, you’ve given back my life, I felt constantly weak, ill forgetful with headaches and sleeplessness. Your machine cured me completely. Bless you and Lectroject!” -Julia Brockman
R: Dear Julia, I’m gratified to hear of your great success, however I’d like to point out that from the description of your symptoms you had more than herpes, you probably had Coxsackie B viruses (There are 6 of them). Acyclovir is highly effective in destroying those viruses. While we are happy that Lectroject played a part, we must make it clear that Lectroject didn’t “Cure” you, it took your medication directly to where it was needed – The infected cell. The medication did the rest. Regards Dr. Keith
C: “I used the machine for ten treatments, after that I had another outbreak, I’ve suffered from herpes one and two for seven years, and I thought your machine could cure herpes.” - Rob Keene
R: We must point out to you that Lectroject can’t “Cure” anything; a hypodermic syringe can’t “Cure” anything. It’s the medication that “Cures”. If you’ve had treatment for 7 years without success, this means that acyclovir, no matter how it’s delivered to the cell will not work. You’ve obviously developed a tolerance to the drug and so it’s ineffective. Newer drugs are being developed and possibly one of them will solve your problem. Watch the medical press. Regards Dr. Keith
Diagnostic Testing For Genital and Oral Herpes
I am continuously asked by people about testing for genital and oral herpes, as well as what the various tests mean regarding both oral and genital herpes.
Initially: The "gold standard" for diagnosis of herpes is the viral culture. If a viral culture taken at a clinic from an active herpes lesion is positive for herpes simplex, then this makes the diagnosis. The patient should always be sure to ask the doctor to perform complete typing of the virus so that the result will reveal if the virus in question is herpes simplex type 1 or type 2. This may be important later, especially regarding the possibility of transmission of the disease to others.
Sadly, the viral culture can be falsely negative for many reasons. The virus must survive the trip to the laboratory. Anything that may affect this survival negatively could then cause a false negative result. For example, if the sample became overheated, it could kill the virus and cause a false negative result.
Afterwards: A newer "gold standard" is even more sensitive than the viral culture. This test is called the PCR DNA test, (Done from spinal fluid) and it can identify the DNA from viral particles to an extremely high degree of accuracy and can differentiate between the two types. This test directly reveals the presence or not of viral DNA of either type of virus.
