The Management of Viral Infections with the Lectroject Particle Transport Unit, as a Carrier of Specific Anti-Virals

This system was perfected in 2001 at which time it went to trial. An appeal was published in the news media for volunteers suffering from Herpes, CMV, Coxsackie and HIV. The response was disappointing, with only two HIV/AIDS patients willing to participate. Herpes sufferers were numerous, but out of fear of some stigma associated with STD’s 90% would not allow their names to be used in any way, not even to colleagues of ours.

300 volunteers took part in this double blind trial. Volunteers were all between the ages of 25 and 45 years with exception of one person aged 61 years and two teenagers. Male and female were equal in numbers. 90% were either unmarried or divorced. All volunteers were in the upper income bracket.

Group Trial Results:

Conditions treated were:

Herpes 1 (A) Success Rate 85%
Herpes 2 (B) Success Rate 85%
Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Success Rate 95%
Coxsackie Virus B1 Success Rate 95%
Coxsackie Virus B2 Success Rate 95%
Coxsackie Virus B3 Success Rate 95%
Coxsackie Virus B4 Success Rate 95%
Coxsackie Virus B5 Success Rate 95%
Coxsackie Virus B6 Success Rate 95%

Subjects undergoing treatment were tested by Independent Laboratories before and after undergoing treatment. In each case, five treatments were given.

Mode of Action

The electronic module creates an ionic stream through the patient. The Lectroject System emits a particle which follows the ionic stream to the + electrode. A small quantity of Acyclovir is placed under the applicator pads. The particle tacks through the Acyclovir, collects an atom of the medication and deposits in the affected cell where it interferes with the viral DNA and so prevents replication, the virus becomes dormant and is eventually eliminated from the body in a normal way. (By catabolism)

Action of Medication in Herpes

The anti-viral Acyclovir is picked up by the particles and carried through the skin into the cell; it is phosphylated to Acyclovir triphosphate. The first step in this process depends on the presence of HSV coded thymidine kinase. Thymidine kinase converts Acyclovir into a monophosphate. The monophosphate is further converted to diphosphate by cellular guanylate kinase and triphosphate which interferes with HSV DNA polymerase and inhibits viral DNA replication.

Mode of Action in Influenza

The influenza cycle begins with viral entrapment in secretions, the virus attaches through haemaglutinin to the receptors. The virus then penetrates the host cell. The next step is transcription of viral poteins. Replication of viral RNA. Virion release from host cell by neuraminidase, which is an enzyme essential for replication in vivo and allows the release of the virus from infected cells. Acyclovir inhibits influenza virus neuraminidase and so prevents the virus from escaping and infecting other cells.

News Flash

During January/February 2005 a patient suffering from HIV/Aids was treated over a period of 10 days. During this time his viral load was reduced from 170,000 particles to 92,000 particles. This does not imply that Lectroject can cure Aids as large-scale trials will have to be carried out, however it shows a commitment to continuing research by the inventors. Once again we stress that the above result was seen in ONE individual and that no claims are made concerning Aids.

Research

South African and American researchers are joining forces in an attempt to prove that a drug, already in generic form and already taken by 40 million people, is the key to keeping HIV-negative people negative, in spite of their HIV-positive partners.

The drug being tested is acyclovir, which was licensed by US Food and Drug Administration in 1983. It is widely used for treating genital herpes and has been found to be safe and effective in patients who have taken it daily for up to nine years.

At the crux of the study is genital herpes, a virus which infects as many as 80 percent of HIV-positive people, and about half of those who are negative, making it one of the most common sexually-transmitted infections here and across Africa.

The link with the spread of HIV is obvious from research that has shown that people with the genital herpes virus HSV-2 are twice as likely to get HIV, compared to those who do not have genital herpes.

People who are HIV positive and have genital herpes are five times more likely to transmit HIV to their partner.

Professor Connie Celum, professor of medicine at the University of Washington, and the study’s principal investigator, told a press conference that for every couple where one partner is HIV-positive, there was, on average, a 50-50 chance that the other partner would be negative.

This study is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and here has been approved by the SA Medical Control Council.

I have been plagued with Herpes HSV-2 (genital herpes) for many years and have tried every remedy known to man. I also had cold sores in 10 days over Christmas & New Year. I treated myself at home and after 15 treatments at 24 hours intervals, lab tests confirmed that I am cured. I am delighted to report that the Lectroject system works! I can confidentley recommend this product.”
